In the bottom drawer I lie
Undisturbed by daylight,
Granted nocturnal parole:
Emerge In darkness,
Brought to life,
Yet I am lifeless.
My emancipation,
For some a taboo,
Remains the subject of debate:
Whilst I may be abhorred,
Others desire me,
Such strange intimacy extended
To one so platonic!
There’s no lovers’ pillow talk,
Our relationship purely functional;
I am used and then discarded
