I dreamt that I had something important to say,
but
once I woke up
it was gone.
So it couldn’t have been
that important,
but
I wanted to send you a copy of my dream.
I could’ve emailed you,
you could have read it
on the way to work,
in-between Metro Sudokus.
I could’ve dictated it to SoundCloud
and you could have streamed it
through your headphones,
as you stared out of the train window
at the countryside passing.
I could’ve condensed it
to a cast of 140 characters,
perhaps.
Then afterwards
you could have forgotten it too;
we could have shared
that much.
